Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort, Myrtle Beach

My stay at the Westgate was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was fantastic, right by the beach, which made enjoying the sun a breeze. However, the rooms left much to be desired. They felt damp, with an unpleasant smell, and overall were quite outdated. The elevator situation was a mess, and I often found myself frustrated. While the pools looked promising, I didn't get to enjoy them as much as I wished due to the room issues and noise from construction.

My stay was quite enjoyable overall, thanks to the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. The resort's location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach and attractions. However, the housekeeping could have been a lot better as I noticed some cleanliness issues and my room had a few maintenance problems like a leaky faucet. Additionally, the rates for pet accommodation struck me as overly steep, which slightly dampened my experience.

My recent stay at the Westgate resort was a mixed bag. On the bright side, the location near the beach and local attractions was really enjoyable.
